Something’s Happening Here

Leslie Matthews has been a long-time volunteer for KHEN.  Following her retirement and move to Salida in 2015, Leslie joined the board of KHEN and became Chair in 2017.  During her 5 year tenure as Board Chair, she also took on a volunteer role of managing the station day to day and worked to bring the station to the point where a professional ED could be hired.  Since leaving the KHEN Board in 2021, Leslie continued as a volunteer podcast producer for the station and recently she has developed her own podcast, "Something's Happening Here".

"Something's Happening Here" is a 30-minute weekly program that highlights the new and ongoing events, activities, and opportunities in our unique and creative community of Salida, Colorado.  Tune in to hear what is new, what is coming up, and what is available for you to take part in during the post-Covid resurgence of community and creativity in Salida and surrounding areas.
