Growing up on the south side of Chicago in the 1960s, DJ Barely Gifted started collecting 45s and vinyl LPs as soon as he had an allowance. From artists like Curtis Mayfield (Superfly) to Chicago to the rich Blues of Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy; Barely Gifted was not interested in the popular music aired on the local AM stations. Decades onward, Barely Gifted continues to seek out and share a brand of music that spans time and genres. His show, OMFUG seeks to engage, entertain and uplift each and every KHEN listener.
