The News Nugget is a collaboration between KHEN and the Ark Valley Voice, Chaffee County’s premier source for independent, fact-based journalism reminding you that “Truth Has a Voice.” We’ll be coming to you every Thursday morning at 9:45 a.m. on KHEN, and you can also access our podcast here, or at arkvalleyvoice.com. 

Rocky Mountain Community Radio (RMCR) is a coalition of non-commercial radio stations in CO, NM, UT, and WY. Check out their weekly news roundup on Thursdays at 11 a.m. each week.

Erstwhile show host Forrest Whitman of “On the Rails” featured in Colorado Central Magazine. Cailey McDermott, managing editor, paints a thoughtful portrait of Forrest, a true Salida icon.

David Carty and Ed Belinski, or “Wolfman Dave” and “Redneck Ed,” have been co-hosting a radio show called “Weather or Not” on KHEN for 18 years. Read all about it in The Mountain Mail.
